Natural Hallucinogen
I would imagine that anyone with any epileptic tendancies should stay well away from this.
Stare at the centre, then look away when instructed.
It says to view it full-size and You Tube won't let me link directly to the full screen version, but click on the two little boxes at the right of Size: for full screen.

Double Jointed Or What?
I don't know who this cricketer is, but when he throws the ball, his elbow bends backwards.
Very strange.
Very strange.

Children's Past Lives
Many children remember their past lives-spontaneously, without hypnosis or prompting. Some as young as two and still in diapers blurt out, "I remember when I died before" or "My other Mommy had curly hair". They often describe details that they had no way of learning in this life.
Only recently have children's past lives been researched and documented. Now we know that these memories happen naturally to young children in all countries of the world, regardless of the beliefs of their parents. They can happen any time to any very young child, but parents often don't notice because they don't know it's possible or don't know what to look for.
The Children's Past Lives Research Center is dedicated to spreading awareness of children's past life memories and to collecting information on the phenomenon. It is for anyone (not just researchers) who is curious about children's past lives and wants to know more. And it is the only place on the Internet where families with children showing past life memories can share their stories and get advice.

British army lance corporal demoted for acting the goat
William (Billy) Windsor, regimental goat of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, has been demoted for refusing to keep in step at a parade for Queen Elizabeth II's 80th birthday, officers said.

"He was charged with disobeying a direct order ... the commanding officer had no other option but to reduce his rank to fusilier," Captain Crispin Coates told AFP.
The goat was marched before the CO after being reported for "unacceptable behaviour" by his handler, also known as the goat major.
Because he acted the goat, Billy's drop in rank means fusiliers no longer have to stand to attention when he passes by.

Anti-social baa-haviour orders
When Tony Blair last week vowed to update our '19th Century criminal justice system', on-the-spot fines for out-of-control sheep may not have been on his mind.
But in a bizarre campaign leaflet, the official Labour candidate in this week's Parliamentary by-election in Blaenau Gwent promises 'tough new fixed-penalty fines' for hill farmers with wandering flocks.
The 'tough on sheep, tough on the causes of sheep' flyer - which features cartoon depictions of errant sheep - was delivered by Owen Smith, the candidate for Westminster, and John Hopkins, who is standing for the Cardiff assembly.
Written in the usual breathless style of a New Labour crime crackdown, it promises 'action on sheep nuisance'.

Man who bit off puppies' tails is jailed for 6 months
A man who docked three puppies by biting off their tails seconds after they were born was jailed for six months.
Barry Knight, 28, of White Hurworth Farm, Wingate, Co Durham, docked the Lakeland terrier cross-breeds, which were smaller than the palm of a hand, "about three seconds after they popped out" he told a Royal Society for the Protection of Animals inspector.
Knight later claimed that he had been joking and insisted he had been looking after the puppies for a friend, but magistrates convicted him of all offences.

Absolutely unbaylievable
A woman left her car near her house — and bungling workmen painted a “Disabled” bay around it.

Then a warden came along while the paint was still drying — and booked Shirley Hatcher for being illegally parked.
Grandmother Shirley, 67, had gone to the hairdressers, leaving her car in the road where she has parked for 35 years with no restrictions.
But registered disabled neighbour Helen Tod, 61, had asked council chiefs for a bay to be put outside her home next door.
When workmen from Southampton City Council turned up they chose the exact spot where Shirley’s Fiesta was.
They even managed to spatter it with paint as they sprayed a box of broken lines round it.
The council have apologised, scrapped the ticket and vowed to clean the paint off Shirley’s car.

Shoe thief leaves victim money
A man has stolen a pair of shoes and then left his victim money during an armed robbery in Melbourne's central business district.
A 20-year-old Docklands man was using a public phone when he was approached by another man who asked him for his trainers.
After the Docklands man repeatedly refused to hand over his shoes, the second man produced a knife and forced him to take the trainers off.
The thief then left behind his own shoes and $50 in the phone box before running off.

AttentionTrust Update
Yesterday I posted a link to AttentionTrust, expressing my confusion as to what it was all about.
I'd like to thank Ed Batista, Executive Director of AttentionTrust, for this detailed explanation.
Hey there,
I'm Ed Batista, Executive Director of AttentionTrust. I'm sorry our site's not as clear as it could be--we're just about to begin a redesign, but let me try to clear things up a little here.
Every time you pay attention to something, data is created in the form of page views, tags, purchase histories, etc. There are hundreds of different forms this data can take, but in general we could think of it as "attention data."
This data is incredibly valuable--in fact, in an information-based economy, attention is the primary determinant of value. It's also incredibly useful--attention data could be used to power any number of helpful services, such as discovery and recommendation tools personalized to fit your interests, so that articles, podcasts, videos, commercial offers, etc., all of which are highly relevant and interesting to you, are delivered to your browser or your inbox.
However, most of the attention data you generate disappears into siloed corporate databases that you can't access. But what if you could record your own attention data? You could share it with a third party that would provide you with these services in return, or enable you to exchange your data with friends, family or colleagues. You'd be an active participant in the "attention economy," not just a passive source of data that others are taking advantage of.
AttentionTrust works to educate people about attention data, to empower people to make use of their own data (via our Attention Recorder, an open source Firefox extension that allows users to capture and store aspects of their browsing history), and promote the principle that all of us should be able to exert control over the data that we create. Our attention data is OURS, and we have the right to own, store, move, and exchange it as we see fit.
This may sound a little out there, but try running a search on "attention data" or "attention economy"--you'll see that there's a lot of interest in these topics, and the services I've described above will be here sooner rather than later.
I hope this helps shed a little light on things. Thanks--
Ed Batista
I'm afraid this is WAY over my head.
