Someone bought a property in Portugal
Which had been empty for fifteen years.
Whilst exploring their new property they found a large barn in the trees. The door was padlocked shut.
So they forced the padlock open.
You won't believe what they found in there.

Tesla coil sparks
A Tesla coil is device to develop very high voltages pioneered by Nicola Tesla over 100 years ago. In its simplest form it is an air cored transformer driven by discharging a high voltage capacitor through a few of the primary turns. (It says).

And somehow or other you can create a thing called a "Sauron's Eye" which apparently could be used to stop your car being stolen.

Porn movie causes trouble for two men
According to the police report, officers were called to a residence in the 100 block of North Main Street after a man kicked in his neighbour's door and threatened him with a sword. The caller said the subject lived downstairs with his mother.
Police made contact with the neighbour, a 39-year-old man, who told them he heard a woman screaming from upstairs and feared she was being sexually assaulted.
The subject said he grabbed the 39-inch sword, went upstairs and kicked in the door to investigate. He repeatedly asked his neighbour "Where is she?" and made him open a closet, and searched the apartment looking for a woman in distress.
The victim told his neighbour, and later showed police the evidence, that the noise came from a pornographic movie he was watching.
Police are seeking charges of second-degree reckless endangerment of safety, criminal trespassing, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct against the 39-year-old Oconomowoc man.

Florida Teen Hiccuping For Three Weeks Seeks Cure
A 15-year old Florida girl can't stop hiccupping.
For more than three weeks now, St. Petersburg, Fla. teen Jennifer Mee has hiccuped close to 50 times a minute despite the best efforts of doctors and folk remedies.
She's had blood tests, a CT scan and an MRI. Drugs haven't worked nor have home cures such as holding her breath, putting sugar under her tongue, sipping pickle juice, breathing into a paper bag and drinking out of the wrong side of a glass.
And, yes, people have tried to scare them out of her.
The hiccups do stop when she's sleeping.

Power Restored For Hurricane Victim After 15 Years
An elderly woman who had been living without power in her home due to hurricane damage was finally seeing the light Friday night when power to her home was restored. What makes her story amazing is that the hurricane which put her in the dark was Andrew, which hit Florida almost 15 years ago; she's been living without power to her house since Aug. 24, 1992.
She had no heat when a winter chill settled over south Florida. There was no air conditioning when the mercury climbed into the 90s and the humidity clung to 100%.
Norena, who didn't want her full name used because she is embarrassed by her situation, has not had one hot shower at home in nearly 15 years. Every morning started with an icy blast.
Like many victims of Hurricane Andrew, Norena had a problem with an unscrupulous contractor and when the money from the insurance settlement ran out the contractor did too. He left her home half-repaired and not up to code which meant it would not have the electricity connected.
Norena didn't have the money to complete the work and she didn't have any place else to go.

Shearer sheepish in the dock
A sheepish shearer was hit in the pocket yesterday, when a prank that went wrong landed him in court.
Tuatapere shearer Phillip Ray Horrell, 21, who had been drinking, was convicted of wilful damage in Invercargill District Court after he shut sheep in his neighbour's house.
For about 12 hours, the sheep defecated on carpets and damaged furniture.
Judge Stephen O'Driscoll heard that the victim had to replace the carpet in four rooms.
He ordered Horrell to pay $793 reparation, a $300 fine, and $130 court costs.
Horrell was also ordered to pay $9 reparation and $130 court costs for stealing six pies from a discount store two weeks before.

Four-legged duckling shocks owner
An ugly duckling has made waves on a farm after being born with four legs.
A rare mutation has left eight-day-old Stumpy with two extra legs behind the two he moves around on.

Owner Nicky Janaway, of Warrawee Duck Farm in the New Forest, Hampshire, said she was gobsmacked when she turned Stumpy over to check his sex.
"It was absolutely bizarre. I was thinking 'he's got too many legs' and I kept counting: One, two, three, four,'" she said.
"He's eating and surviving so far and he is running about with those extra legs acting like stabilisers".

Man's Body Found In Front Of TV A Year After Death
The partially mummified body of a man dead for more than a year has been found in a chair in front of his television, which was still on.
Vincenzo Ricardo, 70, apparently died of natural causes, said Dr. Stuart Dawson, Suffolk County's deputy chief medical examiner.
Police found Ricardo's body this week when they investigated a report of burst pipes.
The home's dry air had preserved his features, morgue assistant Jeff Bacchus said.
"You could see his face. He still had hair on his head," Bacchus said.
"We never thought to check on him," said neighbour Diane Devon.

Hot mushy peas foil hammer robber
An armed man was foiled in his attempt to rob a Bolton chip shop when the owner's partner threw a hot bowl of mushy peas at him, a court has heard.
Kieran Naylor, 21, of Monks Lane, Breightmet, hit the owner of the Breightmet Lucky Supper Bar with a hammer in September 2006.

Bolton Crown Court heard how he slipped on the peas that landed on the floor.
He was given a three year prison sentence after pleading guilty to assault with intent to commit robbery.
The couple, who are both in their 60s, were serving two regular customers at the chip shop when the attempted robbery took place.

Sacked US internet addict sues IBM for $5 million
A man who was fired by IBM for visiting an adult chat room during the workday is suing the company for $5 million, claiming he is an Internet addict who deserves treatment and sympathy rather than dismissal.
James Pacenza, 58, of upstate Montgomery, says he visits chat rooms as treatment for traumatic stress incurred in 1969 when he saw his best friend killed during an Army patrol in Vietnam.
In papers filed in federal court in White Plains, Pacenza said the stress caused him to become "a sex addict, and with the development of the Internet, an Internet addict." He claimed protection under the American with Disabilities Act.
He argues that other IBM workers with worse offences have been disciplined less severely - including a couple who had sex on a desk and were transferred rather than sacked.
"Engaging in sexual intercourse on an IBM desk is potentially more disruptive of the workplace than is a brief visit to a computer chat room resulting in words on a monitor," Pacenza said. IBM spokesman Fred McNeese, a spokesman for Armonk-based IBM, would not comment.

Love is in the air for 13ft 7in couple
Hilary Roberts had been looking down on her dates for years.
But at first glance she knew Ross Sambridge was the man to meet her high expectations.

At 7ft 4in, he was hard to miss. And Dr Roberts, 27, had a pretty good view from her 6ft 3in vantage point.
The couple, who have a combined height of 13ft 7in, were introduced at a meeting of the Tall Person's Club of Great Britain.
Mr Sambridge thinks he is still growing. One day he may become Britain’s tallest man – a record held by 7ft 6in Chris Greener.

Mother-to-be told to find hospital bed
A pregnant woman who had gone into labour was told by the hospital where she was due to give birth that she should use the Yellow Pages to find an alternative location because they were full.
Gail Jordan, 38, said she was turned away from Solihull Hospital's maternity unit and told to look in the phone directory. The first hospital she rang, Warwick Hospital, had beds available, and her husband Dean drove her the 20-mile trip where she gave birth to 7lb 12oz Alexander.
She said: "I called Solihull that morning at around 6am to tell them I was going into labour. They told me that was fine, there shouldn't be a problem and by 6pm I thought I was ready to go, so we packed our bags and got ready.
"I called in again to make sure it was still okay and this rude woman told me not to bother coming in.
"I explained I was having three contractions every ten minutes and she said, 'Well what do you want me do to about it?' I asked if they had any overflow hospitals, she they told me there were but I would have to look in the Yellow Pages for the number."
