I find it interesting the dog doesn't seem to give a stuff. In fact, it wanders off while getting its chain caught up with the bear's legs, making the bear get out of the way.
You know that's not normal and anthropomorphizing it is a mistake. A couple of hours later a bear killed another dog from the same sled team. Turned out the owner had been feeding the bears for tourism purposes and that night he didn't put out any food.
It's heartwarming to see a wild polar bear showing such gentle affection toward a dog. It reminds us that animals can surprise us with their capacity for kindness, even in the wild. Truly a beautiful example of unexpected connections in nature
