A couple celebrated the birth of their baby boy - then a month later found out he was a girl. Kenny Hiscock appeared to have male genitals at birth.
But four weeks later mum Madeleshia, 29, and hubby Kenneth, 30, felt something was not right. So they took him back to hospital where medics carried out tests and found Kenny was female.
Her organs were enlarged because of a rare enzyme deficiency which causes abnormal hormone production. The couple, who live in Vereeniging, South Africa, have now renamed Kenny as McKenzi and are considering surgery.
Madeleshia said: "The doctor told us McKenzi is not really male or female, but somewhere between. But we have a beautiful daughter, and we're both incredibly proud."

If "the doctor told [them] McKenzi is not really male or female, but somewhere between", shouldn't they wait until the kid is a bit older before considering surgery? What if McKenzi decides she actually identifies as a boy and you've gone and removed all her male parts?
I was thinking the same thing. I saw a tv show on that a while back.
I agree with both of you. I really hope all they do is consider surgery.
