Cat comes down from cactus after 3 days

A cat in Arizona spent at least three days perched on top of a giant saguaro cactus before finally coming down on its own.

Residents of a desert area northeast of Phoenix noticed the black cat with white patches at the very top of the 30 to 40 foot cactus.

At times, the cat would stand up and survey the area, as if it were trying to figure out how to get down or wondering how it ended up there in the first place. Helicopter video showed the cat climbing down the cactus on Friday.

The cat began to make its way down head first, then thought better of it and turned around. After backing down most of the height of the cactus, it took a big leap, landed on its feet and then wandered into the desert.

I bet it was trying to escape being eaten by a coyote

oh the poor thing! I know feral cats are a problem, but I bet it had lots of cactus spikes in its paws after that - hope they didn't get infected.
