Black cat interrupts political debate

A live political debate on a Newsnight-style show in Serbia was interrupted when a cat ran through the studio.



The black puss sprinted across the studio at Channel B29 in Belgrade while guests were discussing the country's financial crisis.

Political talkshow host Olja Beckovic was left temporarily lost for words before stammering: "Er...we..look...a cat."

A spokesman for the channel said: "We don't know how it got in or where it came from. But it wasn't a stunt by us."
