A doctor who was sacked after
emailing Bible quotes to colleagues has lost a tribunal appeal.
Dr David Drew, a former clinical director at Walsall Manor Hospital, was
dismissed in December 2010. His appeal against unfair dismissal and religious discrimination was rejected
by an employment tribunal.
Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust said it welcomed the verdict, but regretted the
case had gone as far as the tribunal. The appeal on Saturday backed an original decision, rejecting his religious
discrimination claims, made by a hearing in April 2012.
Dr Drew, a consultant paediatrician from Sutton Coldfield, said he had been told
to keep his beliefs to himself after including prayers and Christian
references in emails.
He's obviously never read his bible.
ReplyDeleteMatthew 6:5-6
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
Amazing the number of supposed Christians who don't follow the teachings of Christ.
If they followed the bible, they'd have a fairly limited selection of clothing too.
ReplyDeleteLeviticus 19:19 You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.

Only because it has been shown to negatively affect the body's aura, and therefore possibly affecting your health.
There is much we don't understand yet.
Honestly, my brother-in-law lost his job because he kept "saving" people at work. He preaches to anybody who will listen. It drives me batty.
ReplyDeleteI would count that constant bombardment with religious stuff as harassment, and creating a toxic workplace. Good on them for canning him. And I so agree with all the commenters who point out how many Christians ignore the teachings of Jesus.
ReplyDeleteWell said Barb.
