Well-refreshed man fell into septic tank while taking shortcut home from bar
A Chinese man ordered home from a bar by his angry wife tried to take a shortcut to save time, but ended up falling into a tank full of raw sewage.
Chi Fang feared the wrath of his furious spouse so much that he decided to cross a usually unused bridge in a bid to shave vital minutes off his journey. But, as he made his way over the narrow platform, the 42-year-old, who'd been drinking with friends all day, had to stop and vomit.
He then leaned too far over the railing and toppled head-first into the tank packed full of human faeces. With his cell phone submerged in the excrement, he was forced to scream for help until passers-by spotted him and called police. Fang was eventually hauled out to safety.
He ran back to his Wuhu home, in the eastern Anhui District, dripping with excrement. His livid wife Lei, 37, then ordered him to sleep outside in their pet dog's kennel. Fang said he had learned a valuable lesson from the incident, adding: "The dog didn't even want to be near me and went inside."

Bare-bottomed burglar caught red handed
French police were called out to an unusual incident last week when they received calls from scared residents in villages in central France alerting them to the presence of a burglar who was targeting homes on the outskirts of the city of Saint Etienne while in the nude.
The burglar was spotted by a woman entering her house in the commune of Unieux. The frightened woman hid in her car and called the police. A few moments later, she watched the man emerge, after having helped himself to €1,000 in cash and her jewellery box. It was then she realised this burglar, was not your average thief, given the fact he was stark naked.
The man then got back into his car, and headed towards the neighbouring village of Saint-Paul-en-Cornillon. Still naked the burglar broke into a second house after smashing down the door. He then decided it was time to freshen up a bit and calmly took a shower in the home of his victim. After all that, he decided it was time to put some clothes on and dressed himself in shorts and a t-shirt that he found lying around.
He then stole a laptop from the house and returned to his home in Firminy where he was greeted by police officers, hand cuffs at the ready. The burglar admitted to the crimes, telling police he felt like he was “in an action movie”. However, he wasn’t able to tell police why he committed the burglaries, and why, more importantly, he did so completely naked. Given the lack of explanation for his acts, officers decided to admit him to a psychiatric hospital for tests.

Man who raped man and woman on same night jailed for 20 years
A Brighton man has been jailed for 20 years for raping a man and a woman on the same night.
Judge David Rennie said that Louis Thomas, 35, was a “vicious and sadistic individual” at the end of his trial at Hove Crown Court.
Thomas, unemployed, of Lower Rock Gardens, Brighton, approached a homeless woman in her early thirties on Brighton beach on the night of Sunday 30 June last year. She was with friends but Thomas convinced her to leave with him, offering her a place to shower and change.
But when they reached his home he raped her. After allowing her to leave, Thomas then went back out and found another victim, a 21-year-old man from Brighton. The man had been out with friends and had left to walk home alone. Thomas walked with him before dragging him into his home and threatening him with a weapon.
He then raped him. Afterwards Thomas forced his victim to a nearby cash machine to withdraw about £100 and stole his phone. The victim immediately made his way to the police station where he reported what had happened. Thomas was found guilty of both rapes and robbery.
