Sadly he's passed away at the age of 79.
I once saw him perform live at a really small club in the UK. Actually, that's a lie, he walked right past me on his way to the stage, (with his square guitar), and then because of the huge crowd, I then couldn't see the stage.
It sounded great, mind.
