Nude carwash cavorters caught

Four young men were caught by Australian police soaping themselves up in the nude inside a Biloela car wash. After a night out on the town, the men, two aged 23 and two aged 19, decided to cool off at Smart Wash on Callide Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The men paid $17 for a full service, stripped off and ran around inside with their friends watching. Police patrolling the area caught them before the wash went full cycle.

Shift supervisor Sergeant Adrian Riecks, who was at the scene at the time, said the men were lucky the system did not fully activate because it could have caused serious injury.

Attendant Jeff Dredge, who replayed the security footage yesterday, said the high-pressure sprayers used can remove skin. “It will remove skin, no doubt about it,” he said. “They could have blown an eye out of their sockets.”

Mr Dredge said the men were covering themselves with chemicals and there were young ladies taking photographs. “I, thought, ‘You silly boys,’ they were just running around in front of their girlfriends,” he said. “It (the chemicals) could have burnt their eyes off.”

The four men were charged with public nuisance and wilful exposure and will appear in Biloela court on December 14.
