Feisty feline is a real cat burglar

Naughty Oliver is driving his owners around the twist - the mischievous tortoiseshell is fast becoming the cat burglar of Cottam.

But the feisty feline doesn't need a gang of pickpockets to help him ply his trade.

He's managing just fine on his own, fleecing homes in the area of everything from underwear to pairs of shoes.

Four-year-old Oliver often returns home to his owners, Christine and Norman Abram, with "presents" pinched from neighbours' porchways, washing lines and gardens.

The couple, who live in Cottam Green and have two grown-up daughters, have resorted to following him and even reported the incidents to their local PCSO in case of complaints.

Retired detective sergeant Norman said: "He's a cat thief. He's got that sort of glint in his eye and you don't know what he's going to do next."
