Hearse transformed into pet limo

A southern Colorado business owner was thinking outside the box and came up with an idea that's helping to get more customers.

The "Land of Ahs" pet boarding facility now has a pet limousine. But it isn't an ordinary limo, it's actually a hearse.



Merle Mazer dressed the vehicle up with signs and curtains. He says his idea is helping his pet boarding business get through the tough economy, and there's no one else in town transporting pets like he is. Mazer says, "Anything that's unique, you know, it's different, cause there's nobody in town that's doing this. You have to pick up an idea that no one is doing."

Mazer says his new ride is "driving" up business. The cost for a trip in the pet limo is $1 per mile.
