Danger really is their middle name

For four-day-old twins Billie and Ridley, Danger is literally their middle name.

The babies were given the unusual moniker by proud parents Amy and Glenn Lampard, giving them full bragging rights to the popular expression: "Danger is my middle name."

"I've always wanted to be able to say it myself," Mr Lampard said. "We're actually enjoying calling them the 'Danger Twins' at the moment. It's a bit of a novelty."

Billie Danger Lampard and her brother Ridley Danger Lampard were born about six weeks early at Epworth Freemasons Hospital in Australia on Wednesday.

Mrs Lampard said her husband had long been keen on the idea of using "Danger" as a middle name for their children.

Mrs Lampard said reaction to the name had been mixed among family and friends.

This is awesome! I'm all for giving kids interesting middle names - they don't have to go by them if they don't want to, but it gives them the opportunity for a bit of coolness.

I always thought nicknames were for cool.

And birth-middle names for shame and secrecy to be covered up by some mysterious never to be explained letter...

*DONT_KNOW* ;)

I agree. I think the middle name is there to carry old and oldfashioned, traditional, cherished and possibly embarassing names over the generations.

I certainly hope these kids grow up with a good sense of humor and thoroughly enjoy this name! It would really suck if they ultimately ended up harbouring anger for their parents :)  Such an awesome middle name!
