Video shows egg-cited Easter buzzard

Gilbert the black breasted buzzard loves nothing more than smashing open eggs with a rock and has turned his talent to Easter eggs.

The native Australian raptor and one of the stars of Atherton Birds of Prey, has been honing his egg cracking skills for thousands of years and is one of only two tool-using birds in the world.

Birds of Prey owner Mark Culleton said Gilbert was not only a crowd pleaser at the show but his species represented an important link in Australia’s ecological chain.

"The black-breasted buzzard has no known living relatives," he said. "They are a relic of the past and they are uniquely Australian."

That bird's going to be so disappointed when it discovers there isn't a semi-developed bird/lizard in there.  Similarly, I doubt the kids are going to be happy about some bird breaking their easter eggs.
