Dubai driving expert slams video antics

Drivers caught on camera engaging in ‘stunt’ driving on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road should be tracked down and punished, a leading driving expert has said.

A video has emerged, showing large 4x4 vehicles driving on two wheels and performing doughnut manoeuvres, which is where a car circles around with smoke coming from all four tyres.

“That sort of thing is not an everyday occurrence out on the road, let’s be fair,” said Peter Richardson, the general manager in charge of technical operations at the Emirates Driving Institute.

“Those drivers, whoever they are, should be identified and should be punished for that behaviour,” added Richardson, who previously worked as a police officer in the UK for 30 years and specialised in traffic patrol and driver training.
