Sydney Opera House holds concert for dogs

Hundreds of dogs and their owners have attended a unique concert at the Sydney Opera House.

In what was billed as a "world-first", musician Laurie Anderson staged a performance especially for canine music fans.

Almost every breed of pooch seemed to be represented on the steps in front of the iconic Opera House.

Most owners did not know what to expect, though some said that their dogs were big fans of classical music.

What they heard was 20 minutes of odd notes, chords and weird high-pitched screeching that seemed to be appreciated by both humans and animals.

A section of whale calls was particularly popular, with furry ears pricking up, and some joining in with howls of approval.

With another news video.
