Bound woman types help message with toes during robbery

Police are looking for the person who left a woman tied up for hours during a home invasion. Officers say the woman managed to get help using a unique method to notify police.

Police say the intruder broke into the home in the 700 block of Glenwood Avenue, Atlanta just after midnight. He stole several items, say police. At some point, the suspect struck the victim in the forehead with a handgun causing a laceration to the victim's forehead. The victim was then tied to a headboard by her hands. The intruder then fled.

Officers say the woman remained tied up for five hours before using an unusual method to notify police - the woman had her laptop with her and used her feet to type a message to her boyfriend who then called police.

During the investigation, it was discovered that a basement door was left open. This maybe the way the suspect gained entry into the home, say police. The intruder fled in the woman's car - described as a 2009 cream-colored Acura TSX, Georgia tag BGU-8496, say investigators.
