It's been pointed out to me, (thanks Mike), that embedded YouTube videos appear in peculiar positions using Safari.
Everything appears to display properly using IE, Firefox and Chrome.
Click for bigger.
Are other people experiencing this? Is it just YouTube videos? And what can I do to resolve it?
Also, should I have less posts on the front page? etc. etc. Thanks.
I DID experience it on my blog when I was a Mac/safari user! No problems since I reverted back to pc/Chrome. That probably does not help you though...if I hear anything more I'll let you know.

It looks ok to me in Opera 11 on the PC.
ReplyDeleteI'm viewing it on safari. Everything look fine to me.
ReplyDeleteI too am having problems with it in safari on a mac. As to the number of posts, I've always liked it the way it is.
ReplyDeleteI use Sarari version 5.0.1 and it all looks fine to me. Love the site the way it is - especially liked the post of the naked man sledging on a tray. Don't know what all the fuss was about. Please keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteIm using IE 9 Beta in compatibility mode, and your blog is now really laggy when I scroll.
ReplyDeleteDon't change a thing, your blog is easy to read and fun to peruse . . .

I'm using Safari 5.0.3 and I'm having the same problem. On the plus side, your site is loading much faster. Thanks for all you do. Keep up the good work.

Install Windows, problem solved
ReplyDeleteOn a high speed ADSL there are serious problems with memory caching. This is simply due to the significant number of YT embeds. I used to have the same problem. Remove the embedding and replace with a "here" type link and the problem goes away...
ReplyDeleteI'm using Safari 5.0.3 and am having no problems. Go figure. I do tend to zoom in (some other sites are tiny print), so I checked zoom out, still no problems. Perhaps it's the display setting for pixels. I find this sort of problem on sites when I have my screen setting too small. (I change for games)
ReplyDeleteOh, PS. I love your blog the way it is.
ReplyDeleteLooks fine to me. I'm using Safari 5.0.3 on Mac OS X 10.6.5
ReplyDeleteI'm using Chrome and i dont seem to have that problem
ReplyDeleteStretching the tekst layout to maximum and shrinking the advert/would be a bit nicer if you ask me. Have done that myself yesterday at my hardly used dutch blog as well http://dedingendieikdoe.blogspot.com/
By the way, why not add some adverts on the right side of the page below the archive section? Wouldn't influence the viewing experience of the site much if you ask me.
For the rest, please keep it up, i really love your blog!
