Sadly, they probably killed the alligator. Poor thing was just doing what comes naturally.
What a strange, sad "sport" (for lack of a better word) that is. I would like to imagine that everyone there learned a valuable lesson about respecting wild animals.
I hope the poor alligator is ok. The man is a fool and should have known there was every chance of that. Looked uncomfortable for the poor alligator having it's neck bent right back like that, so it was probably just reacting to that.
