Parents-to-be Charlotte and Damien Childs were shocked to get a letter from the police – telling them their unborn son had been part of a gang causing trouble. And the expectant parents of the 36-week-old foetus were asked to attend a meeting with their local policing team to discuss their son's bad behaviour.
The couple were bemused to get the letter, which was sent to their home address in the Monks Road area of Lincoln for the attention of parents or guardians of a youngster with their surname. As they are expecting a baby boy in the next two weeks, they assumed a mistake must have been made and that someone had thought their son was older than he was.
Mrs Childs, 33, who is on maternity leave in preparation for the new arrival, said: "We received a letter addressed to 'Childs' from Lincolnshire Police informing us that our son has been in trouble for antisocial behaviour and asking us to report to the community office. I would love to know how a 36-week-old foetus has managed to go to the park and cause trouble without me noticing. I find the whole thing hilarious, especially as I'm this close to having my first child."
Consultant Damien Childs, 29, said: "I was shocked to discover a request to attend the equivalent of a 'parenting class' with regards to the anti-social behaviour of my unborn son." The confusion has been put down to a clerical error by officials from Lincolnshire Police and City of Lincoln Council.

He's part of a gang? Looks like she may be having triplets.
Reminds me of the song "Bad to the Bone".
Finally, someone seeing a mistake like this as "hilarious" instead "I was horrified" to milk as much sympathy/attention/money as they can.
That's a good point, sunburnt. She puts all those "outraged" and "horrified" people to shame.
