Transsexual 'humiliated' in stadium toilet row

A transsexual speedway fan said she broke down in floods of tears after being told she was not allowed to use the ladies’ toilets at Poole stadium.

Victoria Saxe-Coburg said she was told by security in front of other spectators there had been a complaint about her from another spectator.

The 55-year-old from Bournemouth, who had a gender reassignment operation more than 20 years ago, said she was told to use the disabled toilet.

In the end she didn't use the toilets at all. “I very much doubt I will go again,” she said.

Too bad they were so rude to her. Apparently they do not know who she is. Treating a member of the Royal family like that! What is the world coming to?
However, it is good to see Victoria out and about. She has been in mourning for her husband, the late Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg und Gotha for far too long.

I think she could use a few more female hormones.

Thank you.

That is pretty much me. maybe a little paler than usual. It was a long winter here in Spokanistan.

Considering the subject matter, am I the only one who sniggered at the alternate meaning of “I very much doubt I will go again”?

Some day it would be fun to read about a similar situation, but with a non-transgendered person. Some trans people are not passable, sure, but there are also biological men and women who don't comform to the stereotypes of their genders when it comes to their looks. Imagine the outrage, if for example a fat, ugly woman was barred from the women's toilet by the security staff for looking the way she did and to protect other toilet goers from the distress and whatever else they are afraid of. Imagine if she was told to use the disabled toilet instead, since she wasn't deemed to be woman enough to enter a ladiesroom. There would be a public outrage, I'm sure.

So why do some people think this is different?
