‪Chinese boy with tongue deformity wishes for cure

A young boy in China has performed well in school and lives a happy life despite being born with a tongue deformity.

Ya Wenwu was diagnosed with a huge spongy vascular tumour when he was just seven-months-old which has grown year by year.

The eight-year-old's parents have spent all of their money on treatment for their son's disease but cannot afford the high medical costs of curing the tumour.

Ya Wenwu's father, Ya Yonggui, said: "It may cost about one million yuan and he has to be treated in hospital for about one or two years. We cannot afford it, so we had to bring him back home." Little Wu's biggest wish is for his disease to be cured so he can go to school happily like other children.
