never understand when they ask you not to smoke by the door and then put the ashtray...by the door. just put the ashtray 25 ft away. we will get it.

Anon:

either the company is trying to do their smoking employees a favor, or someone (a smoker) moved the "ashtray".

Maybe the company put the ashtray near the door since it knows that the inconsiderate smokers would smoke near the the anyway...and then flick their butts onto the sidewalk/grass. Better to collect the butts in the ashtray.

The "ashtray" by the door is not an ashtray in the traditional sense. It's somewhere for smokers to dispose of their dog ends before they enter the building. Don't you get that?

Anyhow, who says T-Mobile's ashtrays are by the door.

But anyhow shouldn't they be using standard measures here? We need to know how far it is in London buses.

Who says an orca's a non-standard measure? I never leave home without mine. Geographically they're probably more widely distributed than london buses too.
