It makes purrfect sense to me. Cats instinctually carry their young (just like dogs like carrying their own leash) and acting this out it was causing it to go in circles. Cats like to play...it doesn't make it deranged. I've seen children do sillier things.

I don't know. He played chase your tail and caught it. That doesn't happen often. Maybe he just didn't want to let go.
