Dog makes cameo appearance during news report

A dog interrupted a recent live broadcast on Global News in Toronto.

As newsreader Leslie Roberts introduced a story, a dog popped up from behind the desk, looked around, then went away again. Roberts continued as if nothing had happened.

Later, Roberts asked weather presenter Anthony Farnell to explain the canine intrusion. It turns out golden retriever/poodle mix, “Storm the weather dog”, was making his presence felt on take your dog to work day.

“He was supposed to actually stay underneath the desk, but he did pop up out of the blue. You are not seeing things. You are not hallucinating at home,” explained Farnell.

There's another video here.

It looks like a stuffed bear.

I once went to a meeting with a customer. A few minutes into the meeting a dog appeared from under the desk and put his head on my lap. After a bit of fuss he went back to sleep under the desk. Apparently the customer spent most of his day out on site, but when in the office the dog usually slept under the desk. Everybody he worked with was so used to the dog that he forgot to warn me. It didn't bother me, I love dogs, but it could have come as a shock to somebody who doesn't.
