I believe there are bits of India that do go in for racing them; but racing or not I wouldn't care to be the person to shave such intricate shapes into the butt of such an evil moth-eaten animated carpet as a camel. I've ridden one, it tried to eat me. Nobody was impressed.

The only time I've been to see a horse races they'd shaved patterns into the hair on the various horses' flanks. I guess this is a racing camel?
I don't know.
The photo was taken in India and I'm not sure they race camels there.

I've just found out that apparently it's a 'camel haircut' competition

Eegads, I'd sooner go base jumping. Thanks for the info!
I can't imagine a camel standing for that. Unless they were doped with ketamine or some-such first.

Looks cool though
