Well fed gentleman rescued by firefighters after becoming vacuum sealed in bathtub

German firefighters had to be called in to rescue a man weighing in at nearly 45 stone after he became stuck in his bath.

A vacuum had built up between heavyweight Peter Roessler and his iron bathtub. One of the 46-year-old’s neighbours in Waldkraiburg, Germany, heard his yells for help on Sunday evening.

The neighbour called paramedics who tried to rescue him using various methods, none of which worked. Then firefighters moved in and tried to cut him out with a saw which also failed.

Finally they used a big drill hammer to detach the tub from the wall and then then cut out the suffering man with a steel-cutting saw. He then was heaved out of the second storey window.
