Cat-costumed man preys on store

A bizarre crime was caught on tape inside an Indianapolis gas station. A man dressed in a cat costume went wild inside the store. It was the last thing the convenience store clerk expected to walk through his doors; a man, dressed as a cat, demanding food as six friends watched, videotaped and laughed.

"I've been working here six years. Since I've been working here, I never saw something like that," said store Manager, Sylveno Houessou. It was bizarre behaviour that was about to turn violent. After the clerk instructed the man to remove his hood, the costumed character became angry and threw a stuffed animal at the clerk's face. He then threw down two racks of food before running out of the store.

"He pushed over, he knocked everything down and left," said Houessou. The manager thinks the whole stunt was planned because one guy held the door open because whoever is behind the counter can lock the doors from the inside, not letting anyone out. "I don't know if they think it's funny or they don't care about anybody. They don't care about anybody because it's not like it's the first time they did something like that to us," said Houessou.

The night before, the store manager says the same group came in and did the same thing. That time with a young child in tow. It's a crime, not a comedy, for those on the receiving end of these scary stunts. "It's not funny, you know. I want the cops to try to get them and let them know the lesson about that so they can know it's not good to do stuff like that in the store or any store," said Housessou.
