Serbian surgeon to create penis for Cher's son

Singer Cher's transsexual son Chaz Bono has agreed to have a sex-swap operation with Serbian surgeon. Dr Miroslav Djordjevic will create a penis for Chaz to complete his transformation into a man.

Chaz, born Chastity to the singer and her late husband Sonny, has already undergone hormonal treatment and lives as a man in the USA. Dr Miroslav Djordjevic who carries out 30 operations of this kind a year, will make a surgical procedure to create a penis out of the clitoris he was born with.

Dr Djordjevic, from Belgrade, explained he would create a pair of silicon testicles for Chaz and use hormone treatments for several months to increase the length of his clitoris to up to four inches. The final operation would last for six hours, he added.

"Such a penis can pee like men do, but it is not functional for penetrative sex. If one wants penetration we would need to do additional surgery, using skin from his hand or back," Dr Djordjevic explained. Chaz, 42, began his transgender reassignment two years ago and has already had his womb and breasts removed.

Yeah Jeff!...Is all that worth it? After all the thing can only be used for urinating and maybe someday penetration. Sexual gratification ever? I doubt it.

"Your DNA determines your gender, and CHASTITY Bono's DNA says SHE is 100% FEMALE."

Oh, Jeff... My response to ignorant (and oddly angry) people like you is always to ask, how in your black-and-white, 100% certain understanding would you categorize people with CAIS, or Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome? They are, from birth, mentally and physically female, except they lack wombs and ovaries. This is because they have the Y-chromosome, but since their cells are totally immune to testosterone, they are often actually more feminine than XX-females. Would you insist on calling and treating a little girl as a boy, if you knew she had CAIS and thus Y-chromosome (that did nothing)?

Also, there are chimeras, people who originate from two zygotes that fused together in the earliest part of development, people who have both XX and XY cells in their bodies. Not 100% male nor female, genetically speaking. How would you dictate their gender to them? How would you even know?

Gender is not a simple matter, it is not either or. And it certainly isn't the place of strangers to tell other people what gender they are.

Pulling up the very narrow ambiguous part of a whole topic...how laughably post-modern

The brain and reproductive organs develop separately in the embryo and fetus. Sometimes the brain develops into one gender while the gonads are the opposite gender. We don't know why yet. We all have a gender identity, and for the vast majority of us this agrees with what we see in the mirror. But for a few it doesn't.

Jeff and Candy, imaging feeling, knowing that you are human, but looking down and seeing the body and hair of a monkey. Everyone around you is disgusted that you insist you are human, when you are so obviously a monkey.

Sound ridiculous? It is. And it's just as ridiculous to judge someone for something they can't control.

Amen! When chaz dies and is standing before god she will be as she was created....a female. anyway a man with a dead penis is often considered less of a man.....and balls arent silicon!

To the people leaving the third-grade nasty comments: why are you on here? Why do you care what someone else does with their body or what a deity will say to them one day in the future? Where is your place in this matter? There is no place for you here. Please go finish your half-eaten twinky.
