I like cat tails and picked some in the woods. Put them in a vase in my family room. A few months later they exploded and that stuff was everywhere.I didn't know they'd do that. Got some more and sprayed they really good with hair spray and that kept them intact. I've had them a few years and they look the same as the day I picked them.
