Three people have been arrested after an altercation with a circus clown at Berri, near Adelaide in southern Australia.
The Stardust Circus clown was assaulted when he and circus security moved to evict two men and a teenage girl who were fighting outside the circus tent on Thursday night.
On being evicted, the trio turned their attention to the clown and the teenage girl punched the clown on the nose, police said. Police charged a man, 24, for offensive language and a man, 33, for hindering police and resisting arrest.
The girl, 16, was charged with offensive language and resist arrest after the clown did not pursue assault charges. The trio, all from Berri, will appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date. The clown was not injured.
