Woman caught attacking man in street with shopping trolley

Workmen stood and watched as a woman attacked a man in the street with her shopping trolley. The middle-aged couple were spotted arguing in the street in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, on Tuesday afternoon before the unidentified woman launched the unusual attack.



Mobile phone footage shows the disgruntled wife emptying her grocery cart – and hurling milk, potatoes, and other groceries at the man. After running out of shopping items to throw at the bemusedman, she then uses the multicoloured trolley to batter him.

At one point a worker in a fluorescent jacket is forced to stop digging to rearrange roadwork barriers after the she shoves the man into it. Other shocked workmen can be seen looking on in bemusement as she then furiously storms away along the grass verge by the side of the residential street.

One local resident, who witnessed the attack, said: “I’ve never seen anything like it. They must have been husband and wife. She just started emptying her trolley and chucking all her shopping at him. When she ran out of things to throw – she picked up her trolley and battered him with it, but he still did not react or retaliate. I’m not sure what he had done but he was really in the doghouse for something.”
