Bookmakers robbed twice in 10 minutes leaving second set of robbers with only spare change

A bookies was robbed twice in just ten minutes. Police believe two separate gangs targeted Coral bookmakers in Crumpsall, Manchester, within moments of each other.

The raids took place on Wednesday, November 6. At 7.10pm a group of three men raided the Coral bookmakers, on Landsdown Road, Crumpsall. They threatened staff and attempted to open the safe before taking cash from a drawer.

They fled in a Vauxhaul Vectra, believed to be silver, and drove off. Just ten minutes later, at 7.20pm, two men, one carrying a crowbar, went into the same Coral bookmakers. They demanded the safe be opened before grabbing some loose change from the counter and leaving.

Detective Sergeant Steven Harris said: “We don't think the two men who subsequently went into Coral bookmakers are connected in any way with the the first three men.”

Start a website, a forum for criminals to coordinate their intended crimes.
Imagine planning a job, buying explosives, stealing a get away car, acquiring weapons, then reading in the paper somebody got there first.
A forum save them time and cut their expenses for say 5% of the take.
