A woman was arrested in Western New York after police say she was behind the wheel while drunk on vanilla extract.
Police say Carolyn Kesel, 46, of Seneca Falls was driving erratically in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart in Macedon in Wayne County.
The woman apparently told police she had got lost on her way home.
A breathalyzer revealed the woman's blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit.
Police say she was drinking vanilla extract that contained 41 percent alcohol. That's similar to the alcohol content of vodka and gin.
There's a news video here.

Vodka and Gin are cheaper...
We had a grocery store chain in Richmond, Va., USA, ("Ukrop's") that religiously refused to carry alcohol (though they, of course, carried tobacco products). Only few of us noticed that the vanilla extract was, in fact, mostly alcohol.
Chain has since been bought out by Martin's (a Dutch firm, IIRC), which does carry a nice line of beer and wine.
