Police in Rollinsford, New Hampshire, have arrested a man in connection with an incident at a laundromat in which a suspect could be seen throwing a potted plant into a washing machine and urinating in two washing machines.
Ivan B. Beaulieu, 23, of Rollinsford, turned himself in to police after learning the department had an active warrant issued against him. He was charged with criminal trespass and three counts of criminal mischief in connection with the incident that occurred at the Village Washboard last Friday.
Police claim that Beaulieu entered the laundromat at approximately 3am and spent "a good amount of time in the building." While there, police allege Beaulieu took a potted plant and threw it in a washing machine, took towels out of a dryer and put them in another washing machine, took a doll and placed it in the washing machine, and then appeared to urinate in both washing machines.
Video surveillance captured the whole event.
After completing those activities the suspect was seen going up to the security cameras and tilting them up toward the ceiling.
Police posted images of the suspect on the department's Facebook page and within hours several calls were received identifying Beaulieu as the suspect.
Bail was set at $2,500 personal recognizance. Beaulieu is scheduled to appear at the Dover Circuit Court on Thursday, Sept. 17.
After the booking, Beaulieu was transported to the Strafford County House of Corrections.
