Jamaica fights Zika virus inna dancehall stylee

The Ministry of Health in Jamaica have turned to dancehall reggae and air horns to help stop the rapid spread of the mosquito-borne Zika virus.

A video featuring obstetrician and gynaecologist Michael Abraham advises the nation how to deter infected mosquitos from their homes.

"We Nuh Wah Zik V" features catchy lyrics like "mash up all mosquito breeding site," and "make sure there’s not a stagnant water in sight".

Abrahams also gives a "special shout-out" to pregnant women, telling them to protect themselves and their babies from the virus, which has been linked to the birth defect microcephaly.
