Community police officers apprehended on the loose chicken

On Friday morning neighbourhood PCSOs Elaine Hesketh and Lee Edmunds responded to a call from a member of public in Devon.

Catherine Thompson had seen a young chicken flapping around Swan Gardens in the Plympton suburb of Plymouth, and had become concerned for its safety.

After getting a brief description of the bird, the neighbourhood officers began their search. The keen eyes and fast hands of PCSO Hesketh soon saw the chicken apprehended.

However, despite a number of inquiries in the area the owner could not be traced and the feathered runaway was taken to The Veterinary Centre. If you are missing this chicken, then contact the vets quoting police log number 361 of 16/3/2016.
