Foster's lager cans dumped at side of road prompt 'don't be a tosser' signs

Foster’s lager cans "habitually" dumped in hedgerows at a slip road onto the A3 in Compton, Surrey, has resulted in a poster campaign from villagers telling motorists "don't be a tosser".

Frustrated villagers, who claim they have been thrown from the driver’s side of a vehicle on a daily basis, have now erected posters reading "don’t be a tosser" and ask motorists to take their rubbish home with them.

One villager, who did not wish to be named, described the person supposedly chucking the cans as an "habitual litter lout." The villager added: “Why do they feel the need to discard cans on the roadside?

“One has to imagine as to what their own dwelling must be like, pretty disgusting or perhaps not, because they choose to toss it [their rubbish] somewhere so others will have to clear it away.”
