Upside-down drunk man rescued from tree

Firefighters rescued an intoxicated man dangling upside-down in a tree in central Dunedin, New Zealand, on Saturday night.

A Fire Service spokesman said firefighters from Dunedin Station were called at 10.26pm.

The caller reported a young drunk man who was caught in a tree and hanging upside-down. Firefighters rescued him.

It was unclear whether the man fell down a steep bank and was caught in the tree or fell when climbing the tree. The 20-year-old man was taken away by police, a spokesman said.
