Billy the pet seal who lived in the village pond

This silent newsreel from 1931 shows Billy, the 'pet' seal, accepting a fish supper from his adoptive family, the good folks of Warham in Norfolk.

Billy was caught in the Wash and rehoused in the village pond, where, it can only be only assumed, he enjoyed a full and happy life, and was doted on by the local children.
