Reward offered for return of missing parrot that can whistle the Addams Family theme tune

Pidgey the parrot has gone missing after he flew out of a window on Gwithian dunes in Cornwall and his owner is offering a reward for anyone who can find him.

The special bird can whistle the Addams Family theme tune. Josh Hawke, 23, from Redruth, has owned and hand-reared the 8-month-old cockatiel 'Pidgey' for all of his life but was separated from him when he flew out of a chalet window.

"We just really want him back," said Josh. "He's a very sociable bird, in most likelihood he would fly towards people – he responds to the Addams Family whistle. We are super said, he really is part of the family." Pidgey went missing at around 5pm on Wednesday.

Josh and others were out on the sand dunes and the surrounding areas for just over four hours, but to no avail. The friendly bird can also pronounce 'hello' "badly" and can also impersonate the sound an Xbox makes when it boots up. Josh bought Pidgey for £80 but is now offering a £100 reward to anyone who can find him.
