The skunk showed up at the Georgetown real estate office of Patti Smith one recent morning. At first Smith didn't know why her dogs wouldn't stop barking. When she got close, however, she saw the skunk with its head stuck in a small glass jar.
Smith's father decided to take matters into his own hands and hope he didn't get sprayed in the process. "My dad went down to it and the skunk stood up and the skunk took his hands and put them behind while my dad was pulling. He was pushing and the first time it didn't work and we all jumped back ready to get sprayed. The skunk stood back up as if to say come on, just one more time."
Smith's father obliged and the jar popped off.
The skunk has been back and eats dinner with her dogs.
