A woman is accused of locking her 13-year-old grandson in a dog kennel while she went to work for the last three years.
Police say 61-year-old June Candelario kept her grandson in a plastic 46"x30"x35" dog kennel while she was at work. Candelario is a detention counselor for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. She works Monday-Thursday 4 p.m.-2 a.m.
Candelario would lock him in the kennel before she left for work, and then open the kennel when she got home around 3 a.m., according to police.
