Asiana Airlines to Honour Heroic Pilots

Two Asiana Airlines' pilots will be awarded citations for safely landing their aircraft damaged by lightning and hailstones on Friday. There were 200 passengers on board.

The lightning strike caused the aircraft's nose cone to fall apart from the fuselage, shutting the radar off.

Hailstones also punctured the engine covers and cracked the cockpit windows, completely obstructing the pilots' view.

In other bad weather / aeroplane related news, here is a video of a plane landing in the rain.
