Officer alleged to have filmed up women's skirts

A policeman has been arrested for allegedly filming up women's skirts in Trafalgar Square.

Scotland Yard confirmed a 44-year-old Metropolitan Police officer had been detained in central London on suspicion of causing a public nuisance. He allegedly claimed he was on an anti-terror surveillance operation.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said the man had been bailed until September pending further inquiries. She confirmed he was involved in specialist operations but could not say if he had been suspended from duties.
