Policeman sent to crash finds dying victim is his wife

A policeman sent to a motorcycle accident found the dying victim was his wife.

PC Paul Aitchison cradled her in his arms and talked to her after she suffered severe head injuries. But Tracey Aitchison died in hospital later that night.

Three days earlier the couple, who had no children, had celebrated their second wedding anniversary. Mrs Aitchison, 33, was killed after her Yamaha motorcycle crashed into a lorry.
