Crematorium goes online

Mourners can now watch the funerals of their loved ones on the internet or have them recorded on a DVD or CD.

Bretby Crematorium in Derbyshire is believed to be the first in the country to offer the service.

It means that people who are unable to attend can pay their respects via the internet by accessing a website with a password, which costs £40.

The service remains on the internet for seven days and more than one person can access the website.

For £20, a mourner can buy a DVD of the funeral, which is recorded from the back of the chapel.

And the crematorium will record the funeral on CD for £15.
