Save The Sunflowers

Robert Samson is celebrating a very healthy crop of sunflowers this year. He says they're bigger and better than ever. But apparently one neighbour thinks they're too overwhelming where they are growing along the sidewalk. So the neighbour called the town.

When a building inspector paid a visit to Samson's Sheridan-Parkside Drive home in Tonawanda, Samson refused to comply. According to the town, the sunflowers are a sight obstruction where the sidewalk intersects the driveway because they're over 3 feet tall.

Samson says the police finally paid him a visit and issued an appearance ticket for Town of Tonawanda Court.

Samson will appear in court next week, where a judge will ultimately decide what should be done with the sunflowers.

With video.
