Bull mastiff has a thing about thongs

Bull mastiff Deefer has a thing about thongs - he's eaten ten in a year from the Hall family's bathroom.

But the pedigree pet bit off more than he could chew when he nibbled on a pink lace G-string.

The lingerie got lodged in his intestines - and the surgery to remove it cost £1,162.

"He seems to have a particular fetish for them, to be honest," said owner Lisa Hall, 36, of Midland Avenue, Stapleford. "But this time his stomach had had too much.

The dog only enjoys women's underwear, the smaller the better, with most of the swallowed garments belonging to Mrs Hall's 15-year-old daughter.

But there's no pants shortage among the males in the house - her husband and three sons. Dad Cliff said Deefer is not interested in their boxer shorts and leaves them alone.
