Triplets and a toddler at seventeen

A 17-year-old Derby girl has become one of the youngest mums in the country to give birth to triplets.

Carlie Roberts said she could not wait to take the three boys home to be with her other son, 14-month- old Harley.

It also means partner Scott Handford, 24, is now a dad of six — with two sons from an earlier relationship.

Carlie said from hospital yesterday: “It might be a struggle, but I’m sure we’ll manage.”

But she admitted: “We had hoped for a daughter. I hadn’t bargained on triplets.”
